This Collings 0002H arrived with a major component missing?

Here it is!

First step was reattaching the peghead. With the adhesive cured, the clamps that held everything in place were removed.

Parts of the Mahogany peghead were missing and required new pieces to be fit. A stain was applied to restore the color.

An infrared heat lamp softens the adhesive under the Rosewood headplate.

A spatula slides easily through the warmed glue joint.

The Collings Guitar shop provided a new headplate.
