A cry for help written on the soundboard from the owner. The instrument had been neglected through a vicious Midwestern winter and had several cracks that ran the entire length of the top.

The body is cleaned and prepped for the fitting of a new replacement top.

With the new top glued in place, a channel is cut into the Cedar for the multi-layered purfling.

The purfling is pressed into place and glued.

Just out of finishing the top will be final sanded and buffed to a gloss.

After buffing, the top is routed for the neck pocket that will accommodate the Taylor New Technology neck joint.

I sent it back to the owner with a complementary humidifier and high hopes it will be used
