A very nice Taylor 912 from many years back. For a bit of time the owner neglected winter care and the top cracked in numerous places.

The owner requested new top with the same appointments as the original.

With the spruce halves joined the soundhole was cut out and rosette channel milled.

In keeping with the older construction style the abalone pieces were individually hand-fit and glued into place.

At this point the top has been thickness sanded and cut to fit onto the notched kerfing that run along the sides
