The
owner of this D2H Brazilian Rosewood guitar purchased it used
and wanted it returned to its original appearance. The previous
owner removed the ebony endpin and drilled a ½" hole all the
way though to accommodate a pickup and metal jack.

Looking
into the endblock the enlarged hole will be plugged.

A
mahogany plug was cut to fit.

The
celluloid tapered wedge was carefully removed and another mahogany
plug was cut and fit into place.

Having
a great relationship with the Collings shop allows me to get
the correct replacement parts.

Even
the right parts take a great deal of time to fit in. I had to
get the tapered edges tight then fit the upper and lower edges.
