Willie's
Battered Martin
I
was fortunate enough to get stage clearance to a Willie
Nelson show. The stage hand allowed me to photograph
his Martin as it rested in it's stand.
The
stage was black and the guitar was invisible as I
looked through the lens. I shot nearly a whole roll
hoping that maybe some of these shots might capture
this famous companion of Willie.
Autographed
with a who's who of country music, The top hole seems
to have slowed down it's growth as it comes up against
a brace.
The
Piezo Bridge/ saddle was taken off a Baldwin guitar
and is coupled with a matching amp. Every tour begins
with a new set of Labella's that will stay until the
next tour.
